Terms and Conditions
Here at Snowdonia Alpacas we want you to come and have a relaxing and enjoyable time with our alpacas, so we have to have some basic ground rules so everyone can enjoy their visit with us, and also so the alpacas enjoy it too!
Children aged 9 or above are permitted on walks and are charged at the normal rate. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under 14 maybe required to share an alpaca with and adult if the host feels they are unable to lead alone. Younger children are permitted to meet and greet sessions only, when accompanied by an adult.
Weather – just like us alpacas aren’t keen on very bad weather, so if we have to cancel a booking due to extreme weather you will receive a call on the morning of your walk. You will be given chance to re-book on an alternative date – within 12 months of the original booking.
Refunds will not be given in circumstances out of our control. If you need to cancel a booking please do so at least 72 hours before the date of your walk, you will have 3 months to re-book a walk from this date – refunds will only be given in extenuating circumstances.
Failure to cancel a booking, causing a No – show and bookings cancelled later than 72 hours will not be given a refund or change of date option.
We will however still go out in rain so you must wear suitable clothing for the weather – remembering sun hats/sun cream for hot days, and waterproofs for the more typical welsh weather. You need to always wear suitable footwear, trainers or walking boots are appropriate for dry weather, or wellies or walking boots when wet. Open toed shoes/sandals cannot be worn on the experience.
Customers will be asked to sign a waiver before the briefing commences, we will give you a health and safety briefing prior to you meeting the alpacas, and ask that you follow any instructions given. Accidents can happen anywhere and we cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur on the farm.
During the walk we will take photos, and there will be lots of opportunities for you to take your own too. We then will use some of our photos on our facebook page or website. If you do not want your photo used for this please let the guide know in advance.
Late arrivals will not be allowed to join the walk. Please make sure you arrive on time, taking into consideration traffic/weather. The guide will start the safety briefing at the designated time, and you will not be allowed to walk an alpaca if you haven’t attended.
We are a working farm, with loose livestock grazing where you will be walking. Please park as instructed by your guide/signage, and do not drive anywhere on the property. While all our animals are friendly, they can be unpredictable so follow your guides advice at all times. Please do not wander around the farm if unaccompanied as we cannot be held responsible for your safety.
Our walks are mainly on rough stone tracks and fields so unfortunately we cannot provide access for wheelchairs, pushchairs, prams or people with limited mobility. The walk itself is approx. ½ mile, but there are hills, so you must ensure that anyone coming will be able to walk that distance. We also cannot allow pushchairs, so if you have very young children you will need to ensure they can walk the whole route, or you can carry them.
